What girl doesn’t like butterflies? The Mystic Princesses are in awe of Butterlies: Miniature Beauties of the World by Reno’s Mom.
“This book is magical,” Breanna said.
“Yes, it is so colorful,” Harmonie agreed.
“The butterflies are so beautiful.” Janna said softly. “They are like flying flowers.”
“You would say that,” Catie said teasingly to Janna. “I have to agree with you, though.”
“I’ve never seen anything like these pictures.” Coral said. “I want to see the butterflies like these in real life, too.”
“I’ll see what I can do about that,” Janna replied laughing.

Mr. Pish Goes to the Farm by K. S. Brooks has generated a lively discussion in the Mystic Princess book club.
“Mr. Pish is so cute!” Janna exclaimed.
“I know. I want a dog like that,” Coral agreed. “I’ve never been able to have a dog since I’ve lived underwater most of my life.”
“Let’s get back to the book review,” Harmonie laughed.
“I love the format of the book,” Catie said.
“You would. You are the artist,” Breanna joked.
“I agree. It’s so original,” Janna added, defending Catie.
“Yes, the way Mr. Pish goes on a trip and sends postcards home that describe his adventure is a fun way to read,” Harmonie agreed.
“It is very entertaining and educational,” Catie said.

The Mystic Princesses book club just read Jacqueline The Great! The Pirate Captain by Christin Berger. Let’s see what they had to say about the book.
“What a fun book,” Janna said.
“I like Jacqueline’s favorite saying, girls can do anything they want to do,” Breanna laughed. “Pirate captains would have terrorized other captains even more, if they could throw fireballs like mine.”
“She has such a wonderful imagination,” Harmonie added.
“The pictures looked almost real, but not quite,” Catie chimed in. “I’d like to learn how to do that in art class.”
“Finding the pirate treasure was exciting,” Coral said, finishing the discussion.
Jacqueline The Great! The Pirate Captain is a picture book for young children, both boys and girls.
The Mystic Princesses have formed their own book club and are talking about Come Back Dear Sun by Geena Bean.
“I like that Kaylee and Mattie play outside when the sun is out,” Janna said.
“I liked the pictures, because they are colorful,” Catie replied.
“The rhyming was fun,” Breanna chimed in.
“I liked the friendship of Kaylee, Mattie and their other friends,” Harmonie added.
“It was imaginative,” Coral agreed.
